We are official retailers of Paint Couture and a variety of General Finishes high quality milk paints, gel stains, wood stains and sealers so you can create your own refreshed items at home. Not interested in picking up the paint brush? We do custom paint orders by request!

Hi, I'm Shari, and refreshed is my creative outlet for all things coastal.
Refreshed is the culmination of years in interior design, retail and painting. In Atlantic Beach, Florida I began my design career decorating upscale nurseries and children’s rooms before moving on to decorating and staging beach homes.
After working to open a Ballard Design in Jacksonville, FL and marrying my best friend and love of my life, Rand, I knew I finally had the know-how and support system to start my own business. So in 2005 I started refreshed in the Eight Flags Antique Market on Amelia Island, FL. I was finding old pieces of furniture that inspired me, then painting nearly everything beachy shades of white for a cottage feel.
When we moved to Chesapeake, Virginia in 2014, we made our home in Great Bridge, re-opening our store in this welcoming and tight-knit community. Since then we have provided the Hampton Road region with furniture, decor, art, jewelry and paint products that help you create your own personal beach getaway no matter where you live.
I love the hunt of finding a perfect piece, the quiet and reflective moments I spend refreshing them, and the thrill of seeing the finished product.
